"Crush the cluster. Command the chaos."

About the Game

Chain Breaker is a physics-based breakout game where you don't just clear bricks line by line. Instead, you trigger structural collapses. Bricks get their strength from their neighbors. When you smash a path through a cluster, the surviving blocks lose their support structure. They instantly get weaker, change color, and can even fall out of the grid entirely. The game shifts from a precise tactical puzzle into a chaotic cleanup rush as the board falls apart.

Features

  • Bricks change color and health in real time based on how many neighbors survive
  • Ball damage scales up as you rack up kills. Late game gets fast and chaotic
  • 4-tier color system:  green → yellow → orange → red (core)
  • No fixed brick types. Everything is driven by position and density

Controls

  • Left / Right Arrow Keys: Move the paddle across the screen.
  • Spacebar: Launch the ball from the paddle socket to start the level.
  • Escape Key: Pause or resume the game instantly.

FAQ

Q: Why does a brick suddenly get weaker without me hitting it?
A:
When you destroy a neighbor, the remaining bricks immediately lose structural support and drop a tier. That's the whole system. You're not just removing bricks, you're destabilizing what's left.

Q: My ball feels stronger mid-game. Is that a bug?
A:
Nope. The ball gains damage multipliers the more bricks you destroy. Once it's powered up enough, it can punch straight through orange and red bricks without needing to peel the outer layers first.

Q: Is there a way to go straight for the core?
A:
You can try tunneling, but early on the core bricks take multiple hits each. Get your ball leveled up first, or cut a line through the formation to isolate sections. Isolated bricks turn grey and fall apart in one hit.
